The Department of Management Studies is seeking to appoint a Course Leader. The Department is looking for well qualified candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of Management and Organization Theory are welcome to apply. We would particularly encourage applications from those who can offer one or more of the following areas of expertise: Strategic Human Resource Management and Employee Relations, Business Strategy, International Business, Business Ethics, Sustainability, Public Sector Management and Operations Management.
As the Head of Department you should have a strong focus on high standards, high performance and high achievement, coupled with the ability to develop effective relationships with staff. You will have to establish and implement the curriculum and help set up and run the department.
You will teach on undergraduate courses and Post Graduate courses, supervise lab classes and play an active role in the administration of the Department. A requirement is to handle the multi-cultural environment of the classroom.
You will have a higher degree, normally a PhD in Management Studies or closely related discipline like Business Management and Organizational Theory. Subject expertise together with a strong record of high quality research publications with a proven track record.
